More about Valerie...
A New York native, Valerie grew up in Oceanside, lived in Long Beach while studying photography in the late 70s and throughout the 80s before moving to eastern Long Island where she continued her work for many years, finally moving back to her city of the soul, Long Beach where she has lived and worked for the last several years, launching her local business, Visions by V: Valerie DiBenedetto Fine Art Photography right here in LB.
She has worked extensively building her portfolio, photographing spaces and the colors and people who bring them to life throughout Long Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn and beyond.
She has always been appreciated for her sensitive approach to her subject matter while she loves to bring out the beauty in everything - be it a solitary bench on the boardwalk, a weather worn piece of wood or while roaming land and cityscapes, that ray of late sunlight splashing color across the sky. With a sophisticated and open-minded photographic style she aims to create pictures that spark the senses.
Her focus has now been expanded to include building her business here in Long Beach, selling locally and shipping her pieces throughout the United States.
Though photography is her first artistic love, she also enjoys getting creative in the kitchen, is an avid reader and appreciator of music and film.
